About Us
ZCAS is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament No. 1 of 1989 (Cap 391) as a self-financing, non-profit institution with the mandate to train accountants, promote research and advancement of learning in accountancy, finance, and related studies, provide advisory and consultancy services, and related matters. More than thirty-three (33) years after its inception, ZCAS remains the tertiary accounting and business training institution of choice in the region. ZCAS has some of the most advanced teaching and learning facilities in Zambia and the region. ZCAS offers professional programmes in FIA, ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, ABE, CILT, and CIPS. We also offer international academic degrees in conjunction with the University of Greenwich.
In 2016, ZCAS incorporated ZCAS University, registered under the Higher Education Authority (Registration Certificate No. HEA/039), to predominantly offer and award academic degrees. Currently, the University has more than 40 Undergraduate and 14 Postgraduate programmes with over 3,000 students enrolled in full-time, evening, and distance education programmes. ZCAS’ competitive edge is anchored on its resource base and capabilities, driven by distinctive competencies that have developed over time. As such, ZCAS has highly qualified lecturing staff, air-conditioned lecture theaters, state-of-the-art computing laboratories to support any ICT activity, and fully furnished student accommodation. Further, with ZCAS distinguished history of providing internationally recognized training programmes to students across Sub-Saharan Africa, ZCAS is well placed to offer students real professional training that is second to none.
