JOB PURPOSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reporting to the Stores Officer, the incumbent will assist the Stores Officer operate ZCAS stores and ensure that all received stock items are properly maintained and accounted for.<\/p>\n

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

(i) Raise purchase requisitions to requisition for stock purchases and replenishments.<\/p>\n

(ii) Receives, inspects and verifies the quality of items received from local and international suppliers and checks for quality, damages and shortages. (iii) Issue stock to users against authorized stores requisitions.<\/p>\n

(iv) Raise the goods received noted (GRNs)when goods are received in stores.<\/p>\n

(v) Ensure that goods are always in safe custody, providing protection against deterioration, damage and breakages.<\/p>\n

(vi) Cost stocks when they are received. (vii) Assist in preparation of monthly stock reports.<\/p>\n

(viii) Identify notes and immediately reports damaged, missing items or wrongly supplied items to the supervisor for action.<\/p>\n

(ix) Maintain the storeroom in an orderly and clean manner ensuring proper storage of items, especially harmful chemicals.<\/p>\n

(x) Perform any other duties lawfully assigned by the supervisor from time to time.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

(i) Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) \u201cO\u201d levels including English and Mathematics.<\/p>\n

(ii) Advanced Certificate in Purchasing and Supply.<\/p>\n

(iii) Two (2) years relevant work experience in a similar field.<\/p>\n

(iv) Member of the Zambia institute of Purchasing and Supply.<\/p>\n
