Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS) was enacted through an Act of Parliament (ZCAS Act No. 1 of 1989) for the purpose of training accountants, promoting research and advancement of learning in accountancy, finance, and related studies, providing advisory and consultancy services, and for related matters.<\/p>\n

ZCAS seeks to recruit qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Business Development Manager.<\/p>\n

JOB PURPOSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reporting to the Head of Research, Consultancy, Innovation & Advocacy, the position is responsible for providing marketing and public relations services to the Centre to facilitate sustained student enrolment growth and positive image of the Centre.<\/p>\n

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Coordinates the development and review of the Centre\u2019s Strategic Plan and other operational plans to provide strategic direction.<\/li>\n
  2. Prepares the Centre\u2019s Business Development Plan to expand the revenue base and sustain operations.<\/li>\n
  3. Manages the development and implementation of business initiatives to identify new opportunities and expand the income base.<\/li>\n
  4. Develops marketing policies, objectives and strategies and market ZCAS products and services to prospective clients effectively.<\/li>\n
  5. Formulates long term marketing plans and conducts marketing research to assess market demand and customer awareness and compiles market intelligent reports on a quarterly basis.<\/li>\n
  6. Develops and implements the Centre\u2019s Communication Strategy to guide information dissemination.<\/li>\n
  7. Manages media engagement to provide information on ZCAS programmes and operations.<\/li>\n
  8. Promotes the image of ZCAS through proper and innovative branding of the Centre.<\/li>\n
  9. Manages advertising contracts for electronic and print media to ensure compliance with ZCAS standards.<\/li>\n
  10. Performs public relations and publicity activities and attends to customer queries.<\/li>\n
  11. Prepares and manages the marketing and publicity budget.<\/li>\n
  12. Ensures availability of promotional materials at all times.<\/li>\n
  13. Drafts advertisements for approval before publication.<\/li>\n
  14. Plans and coordinates school visitation activities.<\/li>\n
  15. Prepares and issues approved press releases on important occasions.<\/li>\n
  16. Maintains a database for ZCAS former graduates.<\/li>\n
  17. Identifies potential business opportunities from the collective capabilities of staff and capacity of the Institution for approval by the Senior Management Team.<\/li>\n
  18. Develops and markets new products and services to target market employing most appropriate techniques.<\/li>\n
  19. Carries out any other business development duties as required by the Centre from time to time.<\/li>\n
  20. Performs any other duties lawfully assigned by the supervisor from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of five (5) \u201cO\u201d levels including English and Mathematics.<\/li>\n
    2. Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent.<\/li>\n
    3. Master\u2019s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent.<\/li>\n
    4. Minimum of five (5) years\u2019 post qualifying experience in business development, marketing and public relations.<\/li>\n
    5. Must possess strong marketing, strategic and business planning skills.<\/li>\n
    6. Must be Computer literate.<\/li>\n
    7. Must have proof of fully paid-up membership to a relevant Professional body for the year 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
